Why Main Squeeze Juice Co. Sees South Florida as a Recipe for Success for New Locations

Main Squeeze Juice Co., a 28-unit juice bar and smoothie chain, gives franchisees around the country a chance to capitalize on the $800 billion health and wellness industry by providing their communities with the highest quality products available. Now, it has identified South Florida as a prime market for development.

Smoothie and fruit juice chains have been booming over the last decade and Main Squeeze Juice Co. is dominating the juice bar industry everywhere it operates. With a goal of opening 40 new locations in 2023, Main Squeeze Juice Co. is rapidly expanding across the U.S. and sees the South Florida market as an ideal place for expansion due to factors such as travel, business opportunities and a growing population.

“There's tons of people going through South Florida from all over the world at any given moment,” said Director of Franchise Sales Jessie Wiliams. “In Orlando, not only do you have a big airport, but you also have Disney World. There's just tons of people from all over the country that are there all the time.”

In fact, Orlando International Airport ended 2021 as the busiest airport in Florida. With all the numbers counted, 40.3 million passengers traveled through the airport for the year. When it comes to Disney World, Magic Kingdom alone is estimated to have 38,000 people visit per day, according to data from the Themed Entertainment Association.

Not only does South Florida benefit from an influx of travelers, but it has seen a growing population of residents in recent years. Florida was named the fastest growing state in the U.S. in 2022, according to a Census report. The Sunshine State saw a 1.9 percent population increase from 2021 to 2022. And between 2010 and 2021, Orange County, which is home to Orlando, had the largest growth with 274,156 more residents.

Notably, Orlando and Miami were named the top two best places to start a business, respectively, by WalletHub in 2022. The results were determined by factors such as business environment, access to resources and business costs.

“Within the Orlando market, there are plenty of people who live, work and shop there,” said Williams. “They don't leave that area unless they absolutely have to. So with franchising, it’s a great place to target because of the high density of people in little pockets. You can put a store in each one of those pockets and continue to reach people everyday.”

When it comes to where to open in South Florida, franchisees will be able to take advantage of Main Squeeze Juice Co.’s proprietary real estate process that uses over 50 data points along with boots-on-the-ground assistance to make sure the store is located in the perfect place to maximize business.

“We have a process where we're actually looking for a site, approving the sites, evaluating the criteria to determine if there's going to be excessive construction costs to make sure that that's being factored into the negotiations and that you're getting the right tenant allowance from the landlord,” said CEO Thomas Nieto. “After they sign their lease, they're passed off to start the design process with our architect. And then help them with finding contractors. So we're hand holding them in great detail for the entire process.”

This is just one of the many ways Main Squeeze Juice Co. franchisees opening in South Florida—and everywhere else—are well positioned for success. The brand’s dietitian-designed, superfood-inspired menu includes proprietary recipes that focus on combining nutritious and delicious ingredients. The fresh and raw cold-pressed juice selection is made daily with 2-4 pounds of produce in each bottle, which is never pasteurized or HPP'd, and the superfood smoothies are made with whole fruits and vegetables: no ice, fillers or artificial sweeteners. The menu also includes several acai and pitaya bowl options.

For interested franchisees in the South Florida market looking to make healthy easy in their communities, now is the time. The franchise is aiming to open 22 units in the area and because there aren’t currently any stores open here, owners have the chance to introduce the unique brand to their local consumers.

“When you combine the number of people that are looking for healthy, fresh eating opportunities and the number of people traveling to South Florida on a daily basis, it’s a recipe for success,” said Williams. “We’re excited to introduce people from all over the world to the Main Squeeze brand.”

The initial investment associated with opening a Main Squeeze Juice Company store will range from $385,050 to $682,750. For more information on franchising with the brand, visit https://www.mainsqueezefranchise.com/.
