Our History

          Main Squeeze Juice Company, LLC based out of Lake Charles, LA, the concept store and an affiliate to Main Squeeze Juice Company Franchise, LLC, began as an investment vehicle to help our co-founder’s sister, Miranda Fontenot, find a place to start a yoga studio. To do so, our co-founder, Nick Fontenot, called his business partner, Carl Comeaux, to see if he was interested in the new endeavor since Carl has past experience in the fitness industry as a world-class personal trainer and online fitness personality. When pitched on the yoga studio idea, Carl was not interested, so Nick tried again a week later, but this time with juice on his mind. This sparked Carl’s interest since Carl had been juicing at home for years, and after a month of due diligence, decided the opportunity was too good to pass up. From then on, Nick and Carl exhaustively spent countless hours developing the concept for Main Squeeze Juice Co. They hired experts and chefs to help them create recipes, and Nick’s sister, Miranda, and her fiance, Matt, took the lead on painstakingly making sure the recipes were perfect.   

         After perfecting the concept and system, Nick and Carl opened the first Main Squeeze Juice Co. store in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and MSJC was born. The demand was overwhelming and surpassed all expectations. Marketing campaigns, customer referrals, and sound business principles began to pay off and the MSJC team started to learn how to best run their healthy, fast food restaurant. Best of all, Nick and Carl felt that they were helping their community live healthier lifestyles and were transforming lives.

          The success of the Lake Charles store was met with considerable interest in developing additional stores, so Nick and Carl decided to franchise and that they needed to add franchising experience to their team. To do so, they got in touch with two brothers-in-law, Thomas Nieto and Michael Canseco, who had just scaled their cell phone repair company from 10 locations to over 75 locations nationwide before merging with the largest provider in the space to become the largest company in their industry with over 500 locations. Thomas brought the required management experience and was named Chief Executive Officer, while Michael brought the required legal and finance experience and was named Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel. Further, Michael’s wife and Thomas’ sister, Julie Canseco, who is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, was brought on-board to be MSJC’s in-house dietitian and VP of Operations.

          After assembling a “dream team,” Main Squeeze Juice Co.established a corporate office in New Orleans, Louisiana and hit the ground running. Since then, MSJC has developed corporate stores and has signed up over a dozen franchisees who are currently in the development pipeline. Immediately after inception, the team began to further refine the model, always with the goal to “increase franchisee value” in all aspects of the franchise system. From site selection, architectural prototypes, construction management, procurement, training, operations procedures, product quality assurance, and ongoing support, everything Main Squeeze Juice Co. does is centered around bringing the best possible value to franchisees.
